Globalization has fuelled technological advancements and diffusion throughout the
world, improving population health and specifically women’s health. However, it is cited as
an accelerator of health disparities and epidemiology through the spread of both infectious
and non-communicable diseases. Globalization facilitates the constant movement of people,
diffusion of culture and values around the globe which directly or indirectly influence
population health and consequently increase the international rate of morbidity and mortality
