So again you want to start by looking at the ideal gas law. Usually a change in pressure in a secure container will result in a change in volume.

So, P1 V1 = P2 V2

we know that P1 the original pressure reduced by 1/2 (P2 = 1/2 P1)

Then:

P1 V1 = 1/2 P1 *V2

then solve for V2

2 V1 = V2

So the final volume is twice the original volume
