you reduce the chamber pressure by half, what happens to the balloon?

it expands to four times the volume

it reduces in size by half

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

So again you want to start by looking at the ideal gas law.  Usually a change in pressure in a secure container will result in a change in volume.

So, P1 V1 = P2 V2

we know that P1 the original pressure reduced by 1/2 (P2 = 1/2 P1)

P1 V1 = 1/2 P1 *V2

then solve for V2

2 V1 = V2

So the final volume is twice the original volume
