The judicial branch cannot be entirely impartial or independent because judges will often
encounter external or internal pressure from the political bodies in the parliament. This,
therefore, compels them to be involved in political affairs when acting as policymakers which
influence politics. Although appointing judges minimizes their degree of prejudice compared to
those who have to be elected since they must please the constituency hence forced to interfere
politically. This makes the United States judicial system better compared to that in California.
