a) Acceptance Strategy
Several reasons make it hard to implement changes in a company effectively. The main
reason is that it is the fear of uncertainty. Thus, many people normally dislike change. This
project proposes changes that will enable Shell to increase diversity in the workplace and make
better use of its human resources. While appreciating that Shell has had brilliant ideas and
successful changes in the past, it is important that the organization prepares adequately for this
change. In the event that this proposal is accepted, Shell will need to used different strategies to
make the change effective (Cascio, 2015). First, the company must analyze the current strategic
human resource strategies, talent management strategies and other business strategies relating to
the human resource department. The company will also need to assess its employees, given that
the new changes will directly affect them. There is a high possibility that the new changes will be
resisted by some employees. Shell should conduct an analysis of its employees to pinpoint
workers who are most likely to resist the new changes. This proposal advocates for new
termination, retention, recruitment, talent management and compensations policies. There is a
chance that these policies will not favor everyone in the company. To reduce the possibility of
resistance, employees will also have to be involved in the change implementation process.
Communication will be an important factor in the change process. Every step of the
