Randy Dobbs book titled “Transformational leadership” has several themes that he uses to
demonstrate the qualities of a competent leader. Communication is the most prevalent theme and
topic in most of the book chapters. As a future leader, one should be able to communicate both
efficiently and effectively. One of the qualities of a transformational leader is one that can
communicate the organization's mission, vision, goals, and objectives to all the employees and
how they can perform to apply them into their daily to daily endeavors (Dobbs, 2010). All the
employees should be able to feel part and parcel of the company and to achieve this, and the leaders
should be involved. Freedom is achieved by the leader being able to communicate with all the
