In Part 1 of the project, you recorded and submitted a detailed 3-day Dietary Journal
.
In Part 2 of the project, you will enter this data into McGraw’s NutritionCalc Plus web program, web tool and generate diet analysis reports. The reports will be used for several unit projects in order for you to evaluate your overall nutritional intake. Complete the following steps:
- Download, read and carefully follow the NutritionCalc Plus Instructions.pdf to accesss the program and create a profile to input your Dietary Journal.
- Upload a PDF of your "All Daily Reports" from NutriionCalc Plus
- Answer the question on the Diet Project - Part 2 of 5.doc
Please keep in mind that you will NOT be graded (or judged) on your dietary choices. Your grade on this Project will be based on creating complete reports and answering question thoroughly.

Diet Project Part 2 of 5
(100 pts)
You will now analyze your 3 day record from Part 1 of this project using McGraw’s
NutritionCalc Plus program. Follow the instructions below to access McGraw’s
NutritionCalc Plus program create a combined report called the “ALL DAILY REPORTS
REPORT” (80% of the grade). In addition, submit your ANSWER to the questions at the
end (20% of the grade)
Instructions:
1) Follow “NutritionCalc Plus Instructions” to learn how to access to the program,
create a profile, and enter your nutrition data.
2) As explained in the instructions, view and save a PDF of the ALL DAILY
REPORTS. The ALL DAILY REPORTS includes the following information
combined into a single PDF file:
a. Recommendations
The Recommendations Report lists the recommended daily nutrient intake
for a person based on the information entered. Often referred to as the DRI
(Dietary Reference Intake).
b. Bar Graph Report
The Bar Graph Report displays graphically the amount of the nutrient
consumed and compares that to the dietary intake recommendations.
c. Spreadsheet Report
The Spreadsheet shows all the values for all nutrients. Nutrients are
displayed horizontally, with totals at the bottom of the list.

The Macronutrient Distribution report is useful for quickly seeing the
calorie and fat breakdowns of your intake. The Source of Calories window
shows graphically the percentage of calories from protein, carbohydrates,
fat, and alcohol. The Source of Fat window shows the breakdown of fat
(saturated, monounsaturated, polyunsaturated, and other fats).
