As a result of my stressors, I have commonly experienced headaches or migraines. I have noticed as of lately that I grind my teeth when I am stressed, which ultimately contributes to my headaches and migraines. Another physiological response I experience is fatigue or low energy when I am stressed. I also experience trouble staying asleep, and even very vivid nightmares that can trigger night terrors or panic attacks. I do believe that managing stress is as important as diet and exercise, as excess stress can have the same negative affect on one's body as an unhealthy diet could have. As we have read, stress contributes to heart disease, which is one of the leading killers in America. I do agree with the quote, as being healthy mentally and physically is very important. Finding the balance of a sound body and sound mind is the goal to lead a healthy life.
