Description
Prepare this assignment as a 1,500-1,750 word paper using the instructor feedback from the previous course assignments and the guidelines below.
PICOT Question
Revise the PICOT question you wrote in the Topic 1 assignment using the feedback you received from your instructor.
The final PICOT question will provide a framework for your capstone project (the project students must complete during their final course in the RN-BSN program of study).
Research Critiques
In the Topic 2 and Topic 3 assignments, you completed a qualitative and quantitative research critique on two articles for each type of study (4 articles total). Use the feedback you received from your instructor on these assignments to finalize the critical analysis of each study by making appropriate revisions.
The completed analysis should connect to your identified practice problem of interest that is the basis for your PICOT question.
Refer to "Research Critiques and PICOT Guidelines - Final Draft." Questions under each heading should be addressed as a narrative in the structure of a formal paper.
Proposed Evidence-Based Practice Change
Discuss the link between the PICOT question, the research articles, and the nursing practice problem you identified. Include relevant details and supporting explanation and use that information to propose evidence-based practice changes.

Background of the Study
Learning through action is the most effective approach for mastery of abilities. This paper
presents incidences of nurse shortages alongside the effects of such shortages within the primary
healthcare amenities. Additionally, the paper employs evidenced-based plans to assess the
practices within the health facilities. Upon identification, the study goes an extra mile to
recommend the advance practices that can be integrated for the realization of success. Over the
last decades, the United States has been experiencing shortages of about 30,000 to 50,000 health
professionals, of which half are nurses (Lasala, 2017). The main reason behind the lack includes;
high costs of education, low remuneration scale for nurses as well as preferences of urban to
rural healthcare facilities. The lack of nurses within rural areas has massively contributed to the
suffering of individuals residing in rural zones. Reduced number of healthcare services has led to
poor health status and reduced socioeconomic results. Concerning Nurse Practitioners report,
nurses render their services to 83,000 clients, physicians for 287,000, whereas the assistants
provide the healthcare services to 23,000 patients. This report points out the shortage of
healthcare professionals within the United States. Contrary to the situation, patients require total
attention of the health workers. For transformation, nurses and health professionals should
fundamentally perform their obliged duties, and therefore, this study describes the consequences
of shortages of nurses in the United States.
Problem Statement
Incidence of crisis is one of the hardest periods when significant decisions have to be
made to find a solution to a given commotion. Within the rural of the United States, the

residence is faced with the problem of unreliable primary healthcare services. Due to higher
costs of educational programs, there are few health professionals and therefore, leaving the state
fewer alternatives to address the situation. About the Nursing Practitioners report of 2010, only
10,000 physicians were available to care for 100,000 patients. Due to shortages of health
professionals, the Affordable Care Act (2010) cannot fulfill its aim of developing preventing
screening systems. Patients’ safety is jeopardized as a result of inadequate nursing services. To
curb the commotion, the state should consider subsidies on training an...
