Introduction
Conspiracy theories claim that various individuals plot to attain a sinister goal
intentionally. According to Van der Linden (2015), exposure to conspiracy theories regarding
crucial societal problems affects the perception of individuals, prosocial tendencies, and their
pro-environmental conduct. Prosocial behaviours are actions that individuals intend to benefit
others voluntarily. These acts originate early in life after a baby learns to crawl, and raises in
complexity across the lifespan, with the outgrowth of paradoxically prosocial actions like
prosocial lying in children, and events of long-term allegiance in adulthood and adolescence.
However, this paper examines whether an individual past pro-sociality influence their future
behavior. For example, it identifies instances through which individuals have to boost their
prosocial traits via moral engagement. Besides, the article focuses on moral licensing as a way
that compromises an individual prosocial behavior.
Analysis
The diversity resulting from prosocial behavior is evident across a lifespan perspective.
Viewing prosocial behavior across age, the alterations in its motives, timeframe, structure, and
beneficiaries is apparent. The prosocial conduct of an infant is not identical from that of an adult
and has no significant difference. The prosocial manner of a person might not be identically
encouraged every time (Dovidio et al., 2017). According to Tasimi and Young (2016), parental
behavior has a great impact on infants to the early development of prosocial conduct. For
instance, through conversing about mental states and emotions of others with their toddlers, and
through collaborative interactions and structuring affiliative interactions to enhance the
participation of children in events of prosocial. At the age of 4, children tend to be more

complicated in thinking about their acts and others. In adolescence and adulthood stage, the
prosocial conduct decrease due to physiological events of puberty and hormonal changes.

In societies, prosocial behaviors are crucial in social development and the promotion of
behaviors of individuals. This way, teachers and parents should be knowledgeable on
complications of pro-sociality and how pro-sociality influence motivation and structure of
individuals (Gross et al., 2017). For instance, even though encouraging the sharing of resources
is crucial, the conduct can encourage favoritism like in groups. Educators and teachers can
correct these biases. Developmentally, prosocial actions conducted for social issues like chores
that children engage in for fun can become legally individuals and moral as kids learn to care
about individuals who receive these behaviors (Douglas et al., 2017). Adults can reach resources
that are more material, more time, independence, and knowledge than in other stages. However,
moral emotions, socio-cognitive potentials, and empathy are crucial for prosocial conduct. It is
critical to know the environmental and genetic factors to improve prosocial development
understanding of individuals,
Based on the socio-cognitive correlation of prosocial conduct in children, there is a
relationship among perspective talking, emotion understanding, and self-awareness to variation
of people in the prosocial behavior of children (Lozada et al., 2017). According to Lozada et al.
(2017), the theory of Hoffman claims that there has been a piece of evidence that self-other
variation related to the observed empathy of toddlers towards peers and mothers. According to
Van Prooijen (2017), by use of classic mirror self-identification task, there has been a definite
connection between the prosocial conduct of children and self-awareness. Various sociocognitive development aspects relate to prosocial conduct. For instance, the ability of individuals

understand emotion and taking perspectives of other people correlates with empathy and
prosocial conduct (Davis et al., 2016). Besides, kindergartener’s theory of mind associates with
prosocial behavior high ratings.
Moral development gives an account of emergence and changes in people's
understanding of, ethical principles, and feelings about, across the lifespan. Morality
encompasses several dimensions, predominantly values, reasoning and knowledge, emotions,
and morally crucial prosocial conducts. Tonković et al. (2018) point out that moral emotions
might lead to the prosocial behavior of children via the repercussions of their eve...
