What do you think he means? Post 4: Answer the question: As I am reading through the book, the end of chapter two has caught my eye. The final lines, "It occurred to me that somehow I’d got through another Sunday, that Mother now was buried, and tomorrow I’d be going back to work as usual. Really, nothing in my life had changed." (Camus 17) were really kind of depressing. Throughout the first two chapters, we get a sense that the character was not overly close to his mother (who seemed to be in an old folks home/ asylum? Don't tend to call people in an old folk home 'inmates' that's why I am puzzled) and this seemed to seal the deal. He didn't cry, he didn't care to see her one last time, he doesn't even seem to mourn. Sure, she was probably pretty old and her time was coming, but wouldn't you still miss her? This makes me think of the question is family happiness? Most of us probably want a family at some point in our life, but when we say that we tend to suggest beginning our own familygetting an s/o, having kids, a cute pupper, etc. If someone says family is what makes me happy, does that mean their whole family or just the family members they wish to have? Hmmmm. Post 5: you have been selected for the prosecution team at Mr Meursault's trial, make the case!

that are happening in the life of a person. In this case, Meursault has the tendency to separate his
life from different emotions in a normal human being. For him, it seems as if he cannot find
meaning in life. In that case, he just lives his life just because he can breathe. In my view, Camus
used the passiveness of Meursault to try and show the manner that human life lacks rationality
and the struggle that humans bei...
