The program should aim at describing how people in the organization can prevent injuries and
illness. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is a service of the United
States labor department. Under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSH Act),
Congress established this agency due to increased poor work conditions and poor health for
