In workplaces, gender discrimination takes place when different people are treated
differently based on their gender. In a number of activities of the organization, the discrimination
is apparent, and the management might be involved in this discrimination. Behind gender
discrimination, one of the key reasons is promotion. Certain gender affiliations might be favored
by the managers when promoting workers. For example, some managers might favour men as
compared to women. This act on a legal standpoint is in contradiction of federal laws.
Consequently, bias in the promoting workers' process is a significant reason for favoritism in
terms of gender. Providing incentives and benefits discriminately is also a gender bias type
within the workplaces. Women might not be promoted by certain companies on the senior
positions within the organization due to the fear that these women might not be influential and
certain employees, particularly the men, might not pledge full loyalty to female bosses =
For employees, major motivating factors are salaries and wages, and these factors
encourage them to work harder. Employers, however, might opt for paying out dissimilar
amounts to the diverse genders. When a specific gender is qualified for higher pay as compared
to the others, discrimination comes into play. Some employers or managers might be of the
opinion that a specific gender is more productive and superior. Such managers choose to pay
