Health care information systems are essential for hospitals since they are used to manage
patients’ medical data which include storage and transmission of the data. One of the challenges
faced by the system is the user interface which when developed poorly can be lead to data entry
errors and poor interpretation of data leading to medical malpractices (Al-Yaseen, 2012). The
system also faces a challenge in terms of developing a tool that can be used to identify patients
accurately to prevent misdiagnosis of diseases leading to performing the wrong treatment on a
patient. Organizations to do not possess real-time tools that can be used to detect issues within
the healthcare information systems to ensure that there no health hazards. This makes it difficult
for users to compare the safety of getting treated at different organizations
