Aspects of the Study on Child Abuse and Neglect with the Most Impact on Me
The physical, psychological, and behavioral impacts of child abuse and neglect had the
most impact on me while studying on the subject. This is because one cannot fathom the reasons
people choose to hurt kids deliberately. For example, Theron and Ungar (2018) affirm that kids
tend to suffer bruises and cuts. This happens when an adult which in this case is an irresponsible
guardian decides to force the child to the ground hence making them bruised. In addition, I found
it alarming that some parents dared to burn their kids with others subjecting them to inhumane
levels of corporal punishment. Oates (2013) argues that there are reports of parents that beat their
children to the point of breaking their bones. Such parents retort that the reason for doing such
activities is to instill a sense of discipline in their children. Furthermore, it was also alarming to
find out that other parents were inhuman as to subject their kids to sexual abuse living them with
