Introduction
The research will show the role of the state in the lives of women in America. However, the
study will view the task in different perspectives where it will cover the local and federal roles in
addressing how the government has treated women of America. Furthermore, the research will
show how rights have been enhanced to the lives of women in America. Therefore, many of the
laws in America did not consider women empowerment and hence giving them freedom during
the start of the twentieth century. However, as time progressed, the rights of women were
recognized and covered under the law. Consequently, the work of the study is to show how the
government has put efforts to ensure that these rights and freedoms of women are projected and
guaranteed.
Nevertheless, the research will give information on how the state of America has worked to
provide control over the lives of the women in the country. The government realized that women
are important and hence need empowerment for the growth of the economy of the country. The
support that the government promised to offer to the women was through ensuring that they are
given the privileges that men get and hence making them as superior as men in the society. The
first human right conference was held in 1848 where the rights of women were discussed, and it
was passed that women should be free from coercive marriage and misuse by men so that they
can add value to the society1 . Therefore, many of the laws were changed that favoured the life of
women in America and hence making them acquire freedom that they were denied for a very
long time.

Argument
Research shows that when men went for the First World War, women occupied their positions in
the homes and hence began to exercise a sort of power since their men were not around.
Moreover, after the world war, one was over, different conferences were held that fought for
human rights in America. The first meeting was held in Washington D.C., where difference
rights were discussed and freedoms of women in the society. Consequently, it was the beginning
for the women rights guarantee in the country where men in the community were mistreating
them.
Furthermore, studies shows that the government of America worked towards the empowerment
of the women in the country through ensuring there is equality within the society 2 . Therefore, the
government has given women the right to make decisions in different processes and access
power in their endeavors. Moreover, the equality that the government has provided to the women
has fundamentally ensured that there are peace and development in the society — hence making
the country to grow and improve in the economic sectors.
For instance, during the press conference on the 20 th anniversary, which was held because of
women, the president ...
