For this assignment, I would like for you to briefly outline the main differences between the two views of the Constitution, as outline in Chapters 1 & 2 of your book. Following that, I would like you to pick one of the moments from Barak Obama and analyze it from the “two Constitutions” viewpoint. In doing so, I want you to ask yourself these questions: What should Obama have done according to the institutionalist Constitution? What should he have done according to the imagery Constitution? What did he do? Did he make the right decision? What are the consequences of his actions, according to these two viewpoints? The assessment of the decision can be summarized in Table 1. Following that analysis, you are to present your own viewpoint of whether the decision was the correct one. What make good presidential decision-making?

CONSTITUTIONAL ANALYSIS OF OBAMA MOMENTS
Constitutional analysis Obama moments: The 2011 killing of Osama bin Laden
At the beginning of May 2011, President Obama announced that the US Navy SEALs,
under his authority, had shot and killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of the Al Qaeda group.
While this news received attention worldwide, its perception differed considerably among
different populations. In an article published in the New York Times, Dao and Sussman
(2011) reported that “7 percent said they now approved of the president’s job performance, up
from 46 percent” one month before bin Laden was killed. On the other hand, a large
proportion of people from the Middle East and South Asia disapproved the actions of the US
and its president. In a poll organized by Pew Research Center (2011), it was revealed that “a
majority [of people from the Middle East and South Asia] described his death as a bad thing.”
Whether President Obama did the right or wrong thing by ordering the killing of bin Laden
can be argued from the perspectives of either the Constitution or the imagery constitution.
While the presidency can be viewed as an institution created under the US constitution, it can
still be viewed as an individual who has obligations to Americans (Nelson, 2018). The
purpose of this assignment is to evaluate whether President Obama was right or wrong to
order the killing of bin Laden and to offer an opinion of the best action that the president
should have taken.
Constitution vs. Imagery Constitution
The powers of the president can be viewed from the perspectives of the Constitution
or imagery constitution. As explained by Nelson (2018), the constitutional presidency was
founded through the Second Amendment that created this position as an institution with the
responsibility of following the law. In this case, the Constitution restrains the powers and
functions of the president by ensuring that every member of the presidency plays their role
effectively as stipulated in the US laws. As such, the president is expected to work with other
institutions such as Congress and follow the laws that have been documented. However, the
