INTRODUCTION

Like any other persons, police officers are bound to face ethical dilemmas while in line of
duty. It is the duty and right of the officer to act upon their discretion and act ethically to resolve
ethical issues. This memo comes to you regarding officers involved in corruption scandals, police
brutality, and the excessive use of force. The memo is keen on highlighting ethical dilemmas,
ethical leadership roles, as well as strategies for improvements.
