An explanation of how you have addressed intervention or how you might address
intervention in your field education experience.
Social work interventions are a key aspect of social work. The social worker identifies
the client’s problem and helps identify the best approach for eliciting positive life change
(Boihtlung, 2018). In the field experience, the client, Pam, is suffering with grief. She is a
mother of four who lost her husband in a tragic car accident. Because she had no saving or life
insurance and could not go to work after her husband died, Pam became homeless. She lives in
her car with her children. After performing an assessment, the needs of the client were better
understood. The assessment was used to identify the specific actions steps to support the desired
outcomes.
Psychological and sociological theories were identified to direct the care approach
(Boihtlung, 2018). In this case, transpersonal theory was used to direct interactions and
interventions. Interventions include “skills and combinations of skills that help clients achieve
