Prepare one yellow cake using the creaming or conventional method and one yellow cake using the one-bowl or quick method. Use the same kind of fat for each cake (either butter or shortening).
Complete Table 5.2 for evaluation of shortened-style cake made by the creaming method and Table 5.3 for evaluation of shortened-style cake by the one bowl method. Write a lab report by answering questions 1-9 on pages 51-52 and questions 1-3 on page 53. Label each cake and take a photograph to include with your lab report.
