The Virtual Team is a set of people that work together to accomplish mutual targets and
aspirations in common projects. Such people conduct work through IT and software technologies
in a virtual work environment. This term frequently means teleworking teams or groups that use
mobile IoT and Skype technology to communicate, collaborate and build relationships on an
actual-time basis. The basis for leadership of distant / telecommunication teamwork is virtual
team governance (Silvius & Karayaz, 2018). Team managers assemble and manage the virtual
team by the use of advanced telecommunication networks available globally. Similar to other
forms of teams in an organization, virtual teams are assembled and funded to undertake certain
functions for the organization. Their specific functions may vary depending on the overall
objectives of the firm and also the available resources. However, individual members have their
functions which contribute to the overall performance of the group. Virtual meetings through
services such as teleconferencing enable the team to meet and strategize on given performance
indexes.
