Description

Need help with my paper.

The Theme of my research assignments is "Reforming the United States' audit Industry"

For this assignment, i need submit a thesis statement for your final Research Paper. i needed to select a topic for research that supports the Research Paper Theme. The thesis is NOT "Reforming the United States' audit Industry". I needed to select a specific topic and argue a specific point. Some examples are below:

  • Making audits optional for publicly-traded companies will improve compliance
  • Compliance with COBIT ensures an acceptable overall security posture for the firm
  • The cost of the Sarbanes-Oxley control environment makes compliance prohibitive

These are just examples to give you an idea of the type of argument you should strive to make.  in addition to a well-formed thesis statement, you should also submit a defense of the relevance of your argument. I need at least 5+ sources. The final research paper must be 10 - 15 pages, typed, double-spaced, in 12 point font, with normal margins.

Proper Scholarly Sources Include

  • books
  • magazines
  • newspapers
  • scholarly journals

I got a passing grade for the assignment but the professor said I need a lot of work on it. Can someone help, please.

WILL TIP AWESOME

One Vs the Many Even though No single standard will suffice for the needs of every single company and not all of the available standards would be appropriate for every company. IT auditing should be one standardized framework system, because companies often don’t have insufficient time and money to evaluate each standard to determine which one might best meet their business needs. The current IT standards are inconsistent, the sheer number of different frameworks available to choose from are wide, and few are associated with the growing list of required regulations that companies are required to comply with, and Many Companies are left to fend for themselves when trying to determine which IT standards framework to use Companies often have insufficient time and money to evaluate each standard to determine which one would best meet their business needs. ITIL, ITSM, NIST, COBIT, CMMi, and ISO are among the few that are out there. Every companies needs may calls for a different approach, and depending on what is needed, each implementation can cost companies hundreds of thousands of dollars depending on its IT size. Costs can be hard to determine because they would include expenses such as training the IT staff, consulting outside auditors and buying new software products that support each frameworks. No single standard may not suffice for the needs of every single company and not all of the available standards would be applicable or appropriate for every company, IT auditing should be one standardized framework system. NIST is a standard that is required by the U.S. federal agencies, but could also be used by any company to build an information security plan.
