Michael Porter developed a business analysis model that helps the management of a firm
as well as business strategists analyze the profitability of an industry in the market. In his model,
Porter identified five forces that affect the operations of companies in different industries. The
five forces include; industry competition, bargaining power of suppliers, the threat of new
entrants, threat of substitutes and finally, the bargaining power of customers. Altieri Transco is
one of the firms that operate in the Insurance industry. The company and the insurance industry
at large can be analyzed using Porter`s five forces. The porter`s five forces that affect the
