The deliverable used to address these objectives is the Leadership Development Project. Below are the requirements for the LDP. Leadership Development Plan
Among the most admirable qualities that an individual can possess in society is practical
leadership skills. Leadership often refers to a person's capacity to influence other people in the
community in a positive manner by encouraging them (Carleton, Barling, & Trivisonno, 2018).
In most cases, sufficient leadership skills are acquired through interaction processes with others
and mentorship programs from exemplary individuals. On a personal level, every individual has
both strengths and weaknesses associated with one’s leadership capabilities. To adequately
analyze one’s leadership abilities, an individual can conduct interviews on people who one
interacts with, and self-assessment test.
A self-assessment test usually involves a critical evaluation of one’s weaknesses and
strengths from a personal perspective (Ay, Karakaya, & Yilmaz, 2015). The results obtained
from these tests can be used in identifying areas in a person’s character that may need immediate
improvements to facilitate the development of a competent leader. Interviewing people that one
relates with, such as supervisors and workmates, helps an individual to get a clear picture of how
society perceives him/her. The way other people think about a person's leadership skills is vital
in the identification of areas that need to be enhanced. However, the people one selects to
interview ought, to be honest in the remarks they make to facilitate the collection of relevant
information for self-analysis.
