how is cytokinesis in animal cells different from that in plant cells.

Some differences are:

In animals there are no cell wall while a cell wall is present in plants.

In animals the cell division occur by complete cleavage while it occur through cell plate formation in plants.

There are cytoskeleton members present during animal cell cytokinesis but not present plants
