Obesity in America Obesity could be rated among the most serious health challenges the world is acing today. The issue occurs worldwide and the main people who suffer from the health problem are the poor and the middle income families. The prevalence of obesity has risen at an alarming rate. Research showed that in 2016 the number of people suffering from obesity worldwide was 45 million. About a quarter of the number were children living in Asia and a half from Africa. Initially the question of obesity was not an important thing to raise a debate. The reason why I chose to cover the obesity topic is due to the fact that I have had a relative who almost lost her life due to the condition. She tried losing weight but to no avail. My aunt’s suffering opened my eyes in that the seriousness of the condition dawned to me. There have been innumerable debates on how to control the rising sizes of obesity on children between the ages 6 and 11. The saddening part of the story is that despite the high number of children living with obesity, the number continues to increase every day. Obesity in children is sometimes instigating and psychological, or even emotional. Obesity could be caused by generic factors. However, the main causes of obesity are uncontrolled eating habits and fail to engage in exercise and physical activities. There are various factors which working together increases the risk of a child becoming obese. According to the research most children spend most their time on the media, they spend more than six hours a day on video games, in various social media sits chatting, or watching the television. It is important that children be made to engage in exercise activities and try to reduce the amount of time spend on social media. One way that children could be kept physically active is through having them play those games which are engaging and interests them. Keeping children active is not only important in protecting them against obesity but also it helps sustain healthy bones and growth of muscles. . Genetics and DNA contribute to c obesity which is unlucky since it makes some kids unsurprisingly predisposed to obesity. Despite the fact that the contemporary way of life has changed the way we live, it has also contributed to physical in activity. For that kind of family whereby obesity is kind of generic it could be prevented by leading a controlled life style habits. Usually, to become obese requires that children be fed with food which has more calories than what their bodies demand. It is true obesity could be inherited from family members but it can be avoided too. Treating and deterrence of obesity has being a constant effort in most countries. Interventions are a vital prevention measure for obesity. They not only give a child and the parents a better eating habit but also train those ways through which they can maintain healthy eating habits. Moreover, interventions give them the right time spent exercising if they don’t get exercise anywhere else. For instance, their family may not be in a position to buy healthy foods, or to pay for the kind of physical activity they require. To make sure that the low income individuals have a better point of view about obesity. In addition, there should be regulatory actions designed to make parents with obese children make better choices about nutrition and physical activities required References http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/special/health/obesity/

CANCER DEATHS RATES

CANCER DEATHS RATES
Cancer is slowly becoming the number one killer disease in the United States and across
the globe. There has been a significant shift in the number of deaths caused by cancer and heart
