Web Advertising Group Project The class will be split into teams at the end of week one. Each team will provide a written plan of 12-15 pages for “the client”, a nonprofit organization names, Feed The Hungry. You must coordinate meeting times and manage your own teams. Each person on the team will receive the same grade for this project. APA formatting includes: o Title page o Page header and running head o Table of contents (optional) o Double-spaced text using Times New Roman, 12-point type font o Headings and subheadings o In-text citations o Reference page The page count does not include the title page, table of contents, or reference page. Task Specifics: You and your team have been hired to create an online capital giving campaign. Your client, Feed The Hungry, is a Lancaster, PA based non-profit group whose mission is to feed hungry citizens, mostly homeless, for the upcoming holiday season. Most donations are given at the end of the year and Feed The Hungry would like to capture their share of area resident contributions. Feed The Hungry has historically used area grocers to solicit funding. This has been well-received and will be repeated again this year. In addition, known donors will receive a direct mail campaign intended to solicit funds. This year, Feed The Hungry wants to try something new. They are seeking to use a new medium and target a specific audience. The medium is an online campaign using Facebook and eblasts and the audience is Millennials, or Generation Y, who live in Lancaster, Berks, York, Adams, Lebanon, Dauphin, and Chester Counties. These young people are now anywhere from to 21 to 33 years old. Of course, your client, Feed The Hungry, is not really sure how to go about creating this online campaign; they just expect results. Your job is to: 1. Research the target audience to learn about what may motivate them to give 2. Establish Campaign goals and tracking. What are we trying to achieve through our campaign and how will we know when we achieve it? 3. Generate key campaign messages and offers. How are we trying to position Feed The Hungry’s services? Which campaign or product offers will engage and convert our audience? 4. Develop a “Big Idea/purple cow” (based around the key campaign messages) by which to center the campaign around. In fact, the letter and grocery store campaigns have not yet been created and depending on your “Big idea”, you may end up winning all the work. 5. Provide a strategy to effectively utilize Facebook and eblasts to approach, and convince, the audience to give. 6. Provide appropriate avenues that will easily allow donors to give with the least amount of time/effort and at the lowest cost to Feed The Hungry. 7. Establish a budget around a $15,000 spend. 8. Provide a timeline to plan (sequence and integration), execute, monitor, and review the campaign. Step 2: Point 3 on the module: generate key campaign messages and offers Step 3: Points 4, 7, & 8 on the module: develop the "Big Idea" and establish a budget and timeline Work Plan Template Purpose: To create a “script” for your improvement effort and support implementation. Directions: 1. Using this form as a template, develop a work plan for each goal identified. 2. Distribute copies of each work plan to the members of the collaboration. 3.
