The essay effectively compares and contrasts four court
decisions and supports findings with relevant evidence from the cases.
The essay is organized in paragraphs that are unified, coherent,
and effective, with transitions between ideas. The sentences are
correctly constructed, logical and complete.
Diction & Mechanics
The essay uses appropriate word choices, including appropriate
use of legal terminology; uses standard grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Paper uses internal citations; Works Cited includes at least 4
sources; sources are reliable; legal citations are properly formatted in
BlueBook style. Non-legal citations may be in either APA or MLA style. (Your
textbook is an acceptable source.)
