Description
This paper should include some genealogical research and discussion pertaining to heritage identity in respect to (intangible) cultural traditions and places of historic origin. A diversity of different sources should be used for this assignment including but not limited to family member interviews. Distinctions should be made between oral tradition and substantiated facts. This may be hard to do since you are not in my family but I can answer any questions you have. If you do not think this is possible to do please let me know.

My family genealogy is enveloped by recent immigration stories and different historical
periods. It gives an in-depth discernment and understanding of my identity. The DNA testing,
immigration records, as well as historical documentation, such as Census, are enough proof of

Germany, Russia, Sweden, Europe, as well as the Middle East. My grandfather emigrated from
Germany to CT in 1934 while my great grandparents emigrated from Germany. My last name
Chamberlin goes back with the records of immigration from England. However, due to the
presence of multiple branches emanating from my great grandmother going way back, not all

Swedish, Irish origins. Indeed, this discovery is quite significant since I have learned the
importance of valuing all cultures and ethnicities regardless of whether I have a connection with
them or not.
Indeed, my family's history of immigrating to the US illustrates the theme of assimilation
as well as adjusting to the culture and lifestyle of a new...
