Questions about Persuasion
1. Why do we study persuasion?
Persuasion refers to the aspect of influencing the behaviors, intentions, attitudes, and
beliefs of an individual. Persuasion can be achieved through visual, spoken, or written means to
pass given information, reasoning, or feelings to another person to change his or her beliefs.
Persuasion is critical and needs to be studied by every individual. There are several reasons as to

through mass media, this is considered to be the most significant way of convincing a large
number of individuals. Therefore, as people encounter persuasion messages in daily life, they
need to identify which information is worth giving attention to and which ones need to be left.
