Abstract
Palliative care maintains and improves the quality of life for an individual suffering
illness that is life-threatening. It involves offering services to the sick and their family members
to help them live positively, and within the constraints of the disease, prolong life, and make it
more meaningful. Palliative care does not imply that one is dying, but that every sick person has
a right to live a dignified life and should be allowed to make decisions regarding their treatment.
Palliative care should be considered as a way to reduce symptoms, improve quality of life, and
improve the spiritual and emotional conditions of the sick while prolonging their lives.
