Description
For this assignment, you will begin thinking about your major themes and your literature review. This should be a three- to five-page (approximately 700-1000 word) annotated bibliography of three to five sources. Please note that each source should have about a page dedicated to it. Select the academic articles that you want to look at on three themes relevant to your broader topic. For instance, if you want to study education as a major topic, you might be interested in family dynamics, gender, and immigration. You will center your writing around these themes, using academic research to build a case and make points about the state of your topic in American culture. To complete this assignment, list your sources and summarize the article information below the citation. You want to summarize the entire article, from their methods to the findings to the conclusion. Highlight major points that fit within the topic that you have chosen. Please note that your articles should be published since 2005. My topic is about pop culture under the American society. I will attach my brainstorm paper below and here is my TA's comments. "It's unclear what your three themes would be. Consider looking at peer-reviewed research to see how other scholars have talked about pop culture. One theme might be how some media (tv show, movie, book) becomes part of pop culture. Neither of the sources you listed seem to be peer reviewed. The slides from the first class has tips on finding peer reviewed sources. If you're using the campus databases there's usually a purple icon that indicates it is peer reviewed.

Askin & Mauskapf (2017) investigate what it takes for music artists to be successful
in their craft amidst the high competition in the industry. The authors, therefore, attempt to
determine why some artists are more successful than others in the context of particular
cultural products. Their realization is that the popular success of such products primarily
depends on their position in feature space. For example, the position of a song in a
