Description

In order to do this assignment you just need to do have read Los Vendidos and analyze the text it is a very short play only like 4-5 pages long. The research essay must be 7-8 pages and include information from credible sources. The Research essay is not on a specific prompt therefor it gives you a lot more freedom on adjusting to a theme you could write about.  I would like if the research topic could be on how wages/unfair working conditions existed in the 60's throughout the United Farm Workers Union and how those problems still exist till this day.  Quote scenes from play in order make the research essay based on play and also relate to modern day .

Racial Inequality in the United States
The United States of America is a country whose citizenry is a mixture of many races.
The different ethnic groupings are a result of immigrants who immigrated to the United
States centuries ago. Racially and ethnically, the United States, is a diverse country. The
demography of the United States today is such that it houses different races, including white
Americans, African-Americans, Native Americans, Asian Americans, and Native Hawaiians.
Throughout the United States, various ethnic minorities and racial groupings are treated
differently, owing to how they are perceived (McClain, Moen, and Walker, 2018). Racial
inequality is prevalent in the United States.
Racial inequality in the United States is characterized by social advantages and
disparities that affect different races in the US. The levels of historical oppression measure
this racial inequality, overall prejudice due to race, racial discrimination, stereotypical
treatment of different races, and inequality of inheritance, among others (Kendi, 2017).
Different ways of treating different people, especially from minority groups, inform the
disparity that is widespread within the United States.
When analyzing racial inequality, it is often looked at from the angle of imbalances in
terms of opportunities, distribution of resources, and economic power among the ethnic
groups. These racial inequalities could be manifested in the form of poverty rates, wealth
disparities, unemployment rates, housing patterns, incarceration rates, educational
opportunities, and poverty rates.
