Wal-Mart’s objective is becoming the epitome of sustainability. The store is among the
Fortune 1000 companies. Walmart has succeeded in shifting from the traditional business
paradigm to a more sustainable model. Though e-commerce and service transformation, it has
taped new markets. The online retail store aims to be adequately supplied with renewable energy
in longevity. As a result, the company doesn't see any conflict between its bottom line and its
sustainability. The store files yearly sustainability statements of its activities in the United States.
The annual sustainability report is a predominant triple bottom line responsibility reporting
model (Crawford & Smith, 2019). The report shows how the organization is operating. Walmart
has a sustainability index, which the triple bottom line. Walmart has been able to manage, assess,
and report its business activities with a purpose to link relations between social health, ecological
wellbeing, and economic performance.
The organization has interlocked "planet, people and prosperity" (Dhiman, 2008). By so
doing, the company has continued blossoming and become attractive to both its customers and
the socially-cognizant investors. Walmart is using over 500 million dollars per year on its truck
fleet to raise the fuel economy. Walmart has helped reduce solid waste, energy consumption, and
the emission of greenhouse gases....
