GIVEN the demanding healthcare place of work, it is no wonder
nurses and other healthcare professionals at times fall short of
communicating in reverential and considerate ways.
This is exactly the situation that my workplace where
communication is extremely poor.
Nevertheless, safe patient care depends on our capability to
handle stress efficiently, cope with our feelings, and communicate
respectfully.
Interactions amongst workers can influence their capability to do
their work, their allegiance to the institution, and most significant,
the provision of secure, great-quality patient care (Bloom,2005).
