Introduction
Corrective action is an aspect of good management that targets to rectify someone’s
behavior, task, process, or even behavior when any of them contain errors or are not following
the intended plan. They can be seen as improvements to an organization to prevent undesirable
effects. Corrective action applies to employees individually and governs individual on ways of
unacceptable behavior, attendance requirement or requirement of improvement in performance.
This can apply to a project deviating from the required output. Corrective actions can be used to
resolve problems in an organization such as the resistance of employees to accept changes in the
organization.
Resistance of employees to change
Resistance to change is normally because of several reasons. The main reason for
resistance to change is bad execution and management of change in an organization. Resistance
of change normally occurs immediately change is introduced. Most people rather have stability
and predictability in their lives professionally and personally. The resistance to change is
normally rational and rarely irrational. To the employees, it makes perfect sense to them to resist
the change. All reasons for resistance to change in an organization need to be known and the
emotions of people validated. It is always advisable to anticipate objections rather than
overcoming the resistance to change.
Resistance to change may occur due to poor timing of deliverance of change to the
organization. The introduction of change needs to be done when no other initiatives are
occurring in the organization. The resistance to change occurs due to the method of introduction
of change in an insensitive manner or inappropriate time. Leadership of organizations need to

come up with a comprehensive strategy to address the changes in a way comfortable to the
employees of the organization. Change managers nay be delegated or hired to create effective
change management plans. This minimizes the rate of resistance to change in the organization by
the employees.
Mission and value statement
Missions help organizations follow and respect their primary purpose. All organizations need to
define their fundamental purpose, values, and philosophy, create a foundation that is strong for
strategic planning. The main mission of the facility is providing a conducive and responsive
healing environment for patients and the community. It is also to improve the life quality for all
residents of a community. The facility is to contribute to health and give hope by offering the
best health care to all patients through education, clinical practice, and research. This sets
community standards, the patients’ expectations are exceeded provided in a cost-effective,
convenient, caring and accessible manner (Fineout-Overholt, (2011).
The facility is guided by key values that patients come first and all the patients are treated with
dignity and respect. Patient-centered services are provided to the patients. Patients visiting the
facility for health care can be assured of polite, friendly helpful staff members who give their
time in knowing their patients individually. An extra effort is taken in meeting the expectations
of the patients. The staff is diversified which helps boots abilities in communicating and getting
to know the patients. A clinical physical environment is created in a way that reflects diversity
and engagement in many cultures in the community (Douglas,2013). Communication is an
important aspect to have in an organization especially that deals with the interaction with
individuals.

Health care Services provided by the facility
Primary health care will be provided in the facility. This is the type of care it will contain
doctors, nurses, therapist and dentists as the staff. They will deal with patients who may be
suffering due to physiological, physical, mental and social problems. This targets specific
conditions such as drug and alcohol treatment, oral health, asthma, diabetes, mental health,
sexual health, and oral health. There will be four departments containing different types of health
care required by the patients. Some of the services that will be offered are general practice
services, prevention, early intervention, management, health screening, and management.
Secondary healthcare also will be provided by medical specialists and other health professionals
who are not supposed to have the first patient contact. Patients are referred from the primary to
the secondary healthcare system (Yoshihashi,(2014). This will contain departments of urologists,
dermatologists, and cardiologists. Having a secondary system in the same organization helps in
saving the cost of searching other facilities and also helps in accessibility when patients get
refereed from the primary healthcare system.
Conclusion
The resistance of change by employees is natural and can be corrected by having a wellplanned strategy of bringing out change. The change should also be timed to be convenient for
the employees in the organization and promote gradually assimilate to the new changes with
ease. Organizations should have missions and value statements that help govern the decisions
made by the organization. This also governs the solving of conflicts in an organization and the
ability to provide the best type of service to the patients. Healthcare facilities should be able to
put the patients' needs first and give their full concentration in proving them with the best care.
