IV Conclusion: * Call to Action The fact that only 21% of gun owners and 12 % of non gun owners have ever contacted a public official to express their feelings on gun control. * Tell the audience what to do next. If the public is ever going to come to an agreement about gun polices every voice should be heard weather you are a gun owner or non gun owner. * For Example: Phone Call, Email, Letter, Petition, Advertisement, etc.… Please reach out to a public official by phone, email or mail. America has an enduring connection to guns. Since its earliest days, many Americans find pride
in ownership of a firearm. Most gun owners feel a sense of freedom by owning a gun be it for
hunting, personal protection, or sport shooting. America is broadly exposed to guns which they
either own or not. There is a need to induce communication between gun owners and non-owners
in the efforts to come up with solutions. The solutions should start with proper education on gun
safety for gun owners and non-owners, and having more extensive background checks and more
extended waiting periods when purchasing a gun.
