Function of Management: Planning
What type of planning activities will you need to use as a manager?
Planning is the management’s main role. It is the critical process of defining company
objectives and the process of achieving those targets. It involves determining what sort of
operation to perform, how to do it, and how to interpret the performance. The planning activities
I will need as a manager include creating the inclusive identity of the business, determination of
the strategic options the corporation will follow, and selecting the strategies which, the company
will highlight. Operational planning practices (for example, preparing for new infrastructure
adjustments) and strategy development (for instance, whether the organization should proceed to
sell to supplier partners or develop its own sales team) is typically carried out within a wider
organizational context. These are also called long-range planning, and more commonly, they are
considered tactical planning operations.
