In some ways, the experience of Mexicans is difficult to define because the majority of the 19th-century Mexicans were peoples living on lands whose political boundaries or borders changed. Using the same three concepts as before, uprootedness, transplantation, and dual construction of ethnicity, examine the Mexican-American experience. Which concept do you think is most applicable to the Mexican Americans and why -- and why are the other two are less applicable?
