The three readings are grounded on fact-based information since they are based on case
study. The case studies are aimed at addressing death in old age, grieving process as well as
ritual death. The findings presented by the readings help the readers understand the various
factors associated with aging, death, and mourning.
The reading on “Death in Very Old Age: A Personal Journey of Care giving” by
Hasselkus was fascinating. It gave me an insight into what personal care giving journey entails. I
