Introduction to the Wellness Project

This essay is a discussion regarding the design, development, and implementation of a
personal wellness project. Ideally, the goal is to engage in some personal experience designed
towards the promotion of wellness. Technically, wellness can be described as an active process
in which an individual becomes aware of and the right choices towards a fulfilling and healthy
life. Arguably, it does not imply to the mere absence of disease or infirmity, but the condition in
which a person enjoys a state of wellbeing, socially, mentally and physically. As we have
learned, it is a dynamic process towards growth and change. Accordingly, Stoewen (2017)
describes wellness as a holistic homogenization of spiritual, mental, and physical wellbeing,
nurturing the spirit, engaging the mind, and fueling the body. While it is technically holistic,
many projects can be carried out towards wellness in addition to the one described later in this
essay. Arguably, the most crucial thing to understand is that wellness is an all-round process that
engages all aspects of life and the human body.
