The world is an ecosystem where the human race, the most prominent, sources from
the nature everything that is necessary to meet its needs. This tendency has not changed in the
current economic system and is even worse. Indeed, the search for competitiveness through
increased production coupled with the changing needs of the marketplace increased the stress
put on natural resources. As a result, some terms such as renewability, depletion, and
recyclability emerged. These terms are all related to the awareness of men about the decrease
in available resources. The human race has thus decided to use the remaining natural
resources wisely, in light of the three above-mentioned terms.
Men have not always been responsible in their use of the natural resources available
on this planet. For long, they believed that the planet’s capabilities to renew its key resources
