Previously, businesses relied on traditional advertising which seemed not to be effective
for marketers to engage their potential customers. various channels of communication facilitate
traditional advertising and they are broadcasting, print, as well as direct mail alongside other
forms of advertising. While it was possible for marketers to reach out to their customers by
engaging traditional advertising, it was costly for them. This was particularly a serious issue to
small businesses that relied on advertising to promote their growth by tapping new customers
and at the same time, maintaining their loyal customers because the costly process slowed the
growth of these businesses (Frandsen, Thow, & Ferguson, 2016). However, engaging social
media advertising seems to be the ultimate solution for businesses and so, this paper presents
why social media advertising is way much better than traditional advertising. This will be by
covering various areas which are problem definition, research objective, research design, and
data collection, as well as analysis.

Businesses always conduct business research for various reasons. First, by conducting
business research, it becomes easier for businesses to gain a solid understanding of their
