While there is certainly a place for these two theories in the workplace, there remains a whole world of different perspectives and systems. For this deliverable, you will be creating a pamphlet that highlights Eastern Ethical Systems and their benefits within the workplace. Your pamphlet will need to address the following topics:
- A description of Buddhism and Confucianism.
- Key ethical themes that run through each of these traditions.
- Describe similarities and differences between the two traditions.
- Relate themes of Buddhism and Confucianism common themes within American culture.
- Describe features of the ethical perspectives of Buddhist and Confucian traditions that would be beneficial within a workplace/community.

Ethical Themes in Each of These
Traditions
Buddhism is a religion, just like Christianity or
Judaism. It is based on spiritual development and
understanding of the way of nature. The word comes
from 'Budhi', meaning 'to awaken.' Buddhists have
lived in monastic communities away from the world,
as they have been focusing on personal enlightenment.
According to Chenrui (2018), the ideology comes
from Buddha or Siddhartha Gautama. Confucianism is
a social and ethical philosophy with a religious
foundation. It seeks to establish virtues and morals
within society. Confucian scholars aimed at promoting
order and better administration in the community by
obeying the authority (Ong, 2018). The primary focus
is on the relationship between a person and society at
large. Mutual respect and harmony among the people
are encouraged.
The themes in both religious doctrines have some
unique foundations. Both ideologies sought to find
answers to people’s sufferings. Buddhism has a belief
in seeking enlightenment through personal efforts.
When people seek personal, they can achieve what
they desire in life. Personal enlightenment is all about
working on oneself in designated areas, the
monasteries. Chenrui (2018) confirms that Buddhism
enriches
spiritualism
and
reincarnation.
Confucianism, on the other hand, found the answer as
having an orderly society. When people respect one
another and obey the administration, they can live with
