Hello,
Great post! I agree that there are basic things that should be observed during conflict
resolution to achieve a positive outcome. Resolution skills should involve active listening and
clarification. The manager leveraged on the use of effective communication and collaboration to
assess the needs of the employees. More so, the manager wasn’t biased, or he wasn’t quick to
judge the situation without having enough evidence. Before approaching the manger, employees
usually experience mixed feelings of conflict (Finkleman, 2015). The manager and the employee
engaged in communication that helped in resolving the problem at hand. More so, the manager
made the process easy because he validated the fears of the employee. I agree that collaboration
and efficient leadership skills play an important role in resolving problems in a work environment.
Also, I like the point you have highlighted in your discussion post that there should be more lines
of communication. This will ensure that problems employees are facing are resolved promptly.

Insightful post! I agree that the conflict resolutions depicted by the leaders re efficient in
achieving a positive outcome. Earlier communication and efficient leadership skills help in
resolving problems promptly. Leaders should not only lead, but they should be transformational
leaders. This is because transformational leaders guide the employees in understanding their roles
in the company (Rolfe, 2011). Therefore, when problems arise, they are handled immediately to
achieve a positive outcome. Transformational leaders value communication with employees of the
company. Communications help in achieving pre-determined goals and objectives. More so,

effective communication helps in creating a favorable environment for the employees. These two
discussion posts have demonstrated that leaders should motivate, inspire and empower the
employees. This will help in increasing work productivity and job satisfaction.
