Self‐esteem
This research aimed to add on the past data related to the connection amongst aggression
and self‐esteem by evaluating the arbitrating purpose of emotion dysregulation amongst the
community participants and the perpetrators. The study utilized a sample of 153 imprisoned
aggressive perpetrators, and a sample of 197 from the community took part in self-report
approaches of emotion dysregulation, level of self-esteem, and trait aggression (Garofalo,
Holden, Zeigler‐Hill & Velotti, 2016). Offenders recorded lower self-esteem level compared to
the other members from the community, and also high levels of aggression and emotive nonacceptance. Bootstrapping evaluations were carried out in order to check whether emotion
dysregulation facilitates the correlation between hostility and self-esteem levels. On the side of
