Topic: Net Neutrality
Briefly (and neutrally) describe the concept of Net Neutrality as defined in the literature. Don't take a position on it, like whether we need it, just describe the concept in a half page or so.
Describe gaps in current laws or regulations surrounding Net Neutrality as identified in the literature (cite 3-5 researchers). This is where you could bring in both sides of the argument, for and against Net Neutrality regulation.
Propose a policy that would fill the gap. Include 1) your recommendations for measuring compliance, and 2) a future research project that would shed light on the policy’s cost, impact, success or failure

Net Neutrality
Net neutrality is the requirement that all the internet providers should not in any way limit or
regulate access to any information or site on the internet. In essence, net neutrality is a principle
of internet use (Damiani, 2019). The policy requires that all the internet providers do not regulate
or control in any way the access or use of any applications by internet subscribers or users. It is
generally the concept that all the various internet service providers for instance cable, Fiber,
Satellite, Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) and many others do not limit or control but rather
facilitate the access of all the internet pages or applications without any hindrance. The basis of
the argument is that all internet users and subscribers have paid the internet providers and for the
users to feel the value of their money, they should not be limited or hindered from using the
internet or accessing their sites of preference in any way.
The concept requires that all the data packets on the internet do not in any way discriminate,
favor or show preference of access or use of any information or application on the internet based
on such factors as content, source, or even destination. Alternatively, internet providers would
have the discretion to control, limit, or even wholly block access to specific internet applications,
content, information, and even sites unconditionally. They would intentionally slow down,
hinder, deter uploads of files, or even charge an extra fee on the websites for them to allow users
to access the web applications Damiani, 2019). It is, however, essential to note that net neutrality
aims at allowing free access and use of any internet page, app, website, or content and also does
