The Irish people are found in Ireland, a country located in the Northern Atlantic, Britain.
A typical Irish family consists of a father, mother, and children. The role of the father in a
traditional Irish home is to search for food and resources for the family while the mother assumes
the role of managing a household. The Irish community is not affiliated with any particular
religion though Catholicism has largely influenced their culture. Due to Catholicism, for
example, the Irish believe in the concept of life after death and the Holy Trinity. The funerary
customs of the Irish are also influenced by catholic beliefs (Benedikter*, 2004).
