Explanation & Answer

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!
When I was young, I went to a private school, only really getting to know people of my religious beliefs, values, and economic status. However, in high school I went to a public school and interacted with many different kinds of people. This sharpened my communication skills because I learned how to appeal to different kinds of people. I learned that some people don't find their religious beliefs to be motivating enough to take part in different activities, or don't have religious beliefs at all. I came to understand that some people have different values than others, and that I should value them for having different values. This helped me when I was tutoring younger students in middle school level topics. My friends at school gave me experience with communicating with people different from me. This helped me learn to communicate with not only a younger person but someone who doesn't understand what I understand. I have spent a lot of time explaining to my friends why I believe what I believe and why I value what I value. By having these conversations with them where I am backing up my values and beliefs, I have learned to back up information in general. In this context, I have become better at relaying information in a tutoring setting as well.
