Intellectual property is defined as an intangible asset in an organization but has value. Its
something that does not exist in its physical form but adds value to the company. There are
numerous examples of such intangible assets including design, concepts, software’s, trade
secrets, and inventions. Intellectual property is an important aspect in an organization as it sets it
from other businesses (Davoudi, 2018). This gives the business a competitive advantage, which
makes it stand out. There are different cases that businesses stand out and compete with others
effectively and one of them is intellectual property. There is a need therefore to protect
