Introduction
The diverse American public, leaders, and political figures are the principal constituents

of the political system in the U.S. Characteristically, politics, either directly or indirectly, touches
several individuals in America, that is, the politician, voters, and every individual in between. As
a result, all individuals that are affected by the American political behavior particularly the
politicians and the voters need to have a good understanding of all essential details of the entire
political system, voting behavior, political participation, the indispensable role that the media
plays in addressing politics, the impact of public opinion and most importantly the concern of
gender difference on the American political behavior.
In contemporary society and recent years, men and women consistently differ on
different political grounds, policy preferences, party identification, and vote choices. In many
instances, studies conducted on this topic have illustrated women are not provided with the same
opportunities as men, thus causing gender gaps in not just the American political behavior but to
other nations across the world that face the same concern. This paper primarily explores the
existing gender difference in American political behavior. The question: is there any recognized
gender form of gender differences and women repression political behavior and all political
fronts deliberated on. The concern of gender differences, gender gaps, and political positions are
also explored in detail.
Gender Difference in American Political Behavior
Gender differences and gaps in the U.S. has existed for several years now, precisely since
the vote for change that was done in 1980 and earlier for a number of policy attitudes. These

gaps mainly involved female politicians and leaders leaning more liberal when compared to male
politicians and leaders. According to Barker (2002), this instance demonstrated that women were
and still are more likely to identify with the Democratic Party, vote for Democratic candidates,

and devalued, which is primarily done by trapping them into economic dependence on men

office quite freely as men.
In the American political arena, capitalist politics has been utilized in several instances,
both historically and currently, to disfranchise women. In this case, political oppression to the
women is done by permitting only men to hold and also to vote for public positions and office.
